Hillside Events is Minot's only seasonal outdoor venue operated by Hometown Elegance Event Catering & Productions. Hillside is built around the only clear span tent in the state of North Dakota which gives you a completely open floor to host your event without unsightly poles getting in the way. In addition, the panoramic views of the valley that Minot calls home that are one of kind make this a one of kind experience for you and your guests.
With a view from horizon to horizon there is simply no other venue option like it. And with exceptional service provided by the Hometown Elegance team and our of collection of service, hosting your event at Hillside Events will be an experience like no other. We want you to experience your celebration with your guests as a guest yourself and never having to lift a finger to make the celebration possible.
Hillside Events is located on the south side of the Grand Hotel property perched on the edge of North Hill right above Biship Ryan Highschool. This historic partnership between Hometown Elegance & the Grand Hotel gives you the ability to have an outdoor wedding and event with the convenience of a hotel nearby. Our in house travel agency, Destination Dreams, we can handle all of your room blocks and manage them for you.

Hillside Events has postponed its grand opening until the Spring of 2021. We are looking at potentially hosting a introductory party in the Fall of 2020 but that will be decided at a later date.
Ceremony Space is available from 10 AM until 4 PM unless it conflicts with reception space.
Reception Space is available from 10 AM to Midnight.
Hometown Elegance Event Catering & Productions is the exclusive catering to this venue location. No outside food is permited to be on the property aside from baked goods from licensed & inspected partner may be brought on property.
As per the requirements of North Dakota law, no outside alcohol is allowed to be brought on property. Any alcohol requested must come from the Grand Hotel. Our team will coordinate all requests with the hotel bar service for you event.
All events that have alcohol present are required to have security present as part of the rental. We employ off duty police officers to handle this for us and is included as part of the rental package.
Parking is available in the Grand Hotel parking lot.
All creative partners must be approved by Hometown Elegance management prior to being allowed to operate on property. All partners must licensed and insured. Proof of insurance must be provided to Hometown Elegance prior to being approved. This applies to decorators, photographers, DJ's, cake artists, etc.
If you require a ready room or a room block for your event, our in house travel agency, Destination Dreams, will handle booking and managing that for you so that you don't have to worry about that.
Smoking is not allowed in or near the tent space. Smoking is only allowed at designated location on the north side of the parking lot so that there is no potential of burning the tent fabric or causing a fire in the grass.
